I’m not an expert in anything. I can’t tell you which products are the best for your kids or family. I can’t give you advice on being successful or how to grow a business. I don’t have meal plans or grocery lists to share. Hell, I am still trying to figure out how to organize and live my life so I am definitely not in a position to be directing anyone else in those areas. However, what I can do is share my experiences. I can give you the (for the most part), raw and unedited version of my life, thoughts, tips and musings I have picked up along the way so that when you sit down at night and the house is quiet, you can know that you are not alone in this world.
There is a wealth of information out there on the internet that bombards us with connection, giving us half-hearted attempts at relating with one another. We can log on and search anything happening in our world and find someone else who has written, recorded a vlog, or sent a tweet that we can relate to. We were created to be relational, so by default, relationships are something we crave. Maybe this blog will just be another small drop in the ocean we all swim in in search of human connection. If that is the case, then I think I can be at peace with that.
I won’t alway have the answers. You will most likely see me write about an experience, learn something from it, and then write again with a changed opinion. That is the point of growth though right? There will be random inspiration, song lyrics, and some Jesus. My thoughts will probably be so abstract some days you’ll be wondering “what the heck is this girl talking about?” Writing is a therapeutic process for me, and my hope is that you will find your own process of picking through the joys and junk of your life. My hope is that we laugh together, maybe cry a little, and that when you finish scrolling through the paragraphs, you feel seen.
With love,
Alyssa Jean
